Fujitsu’s Social Digital Twin Technology: A Systematic Path Toward Net Positive Impact
On 26 February at 20:00 CET, INCOSE members and interested professionals are invited to join an evening webinar exploring how advanced modeling technologies can help tackle complex societal challenges—without losing sight of real-world constraints (or common sense). Click on this link to reserve your spot and receive the url to join the webinar online.
In this webinar, researchers Makiko Hisatomi, Manuel Munoz and Ruxandra Cojocaru from Fujitsu Research Europe will present their Social Digital Twin technology: a set of adaptive, data-driven modeling approaches designed to support decision-making in areas such as transportation, urban infrastructure, sustainability, and supply-and-demand optimization. The work is part of Fujitsu’s Net Positive Research program, which focuses on systematically addressing environmental challenges while simultaneously supporting customer and business objectives and ideally proving that sustainability and value creation can, in fact, coexist.
Beyond the theory, the session will highlight real-world micromobility case studies from the United Kingdom (2025), demonstrating how Social Digital Twins can be applied in practice and what they reveal when theory meets asphalt, bikes, and human behavior.

What to expect
- A focused technological presentation on Social Digital Twin concepts and architecture
- Practical insights from recent UK micromobility applications
- A short Q&A session
- An open discussion with INCOSE members, sponsors, and participants on applications, limitations, and real-world challenges
This webinar is particularly relevant for systems engineers, architects, policymakers, and sustainability professionals who are interested in systematic, evidence-based approaches to complex societal systems—and who appreciate solutions that work not only on slides, but also in the real world.
