Abstract
Rijkswaterstaat is facing a huge renewal challenge. Many locks, bridges, and other structures need to be renovated or replaced. Rijkswaterstaat wants to use this challenge to standardize and make its infrastructure more sustainable. But can we actually standardize our infrastructure? How can you standardize a lock area with locks between 150 and 1 year old, for example, when most locks are unique and were built in different periods over the past century? In this workshop, we will demonstrate how Rijkswaterstaat is developing product platforms for our infrastructure.
