Workshop: Perspectives on the SDG goals via A3 architecture overviews<\/h2>\n

Abstract<\/span><\/span><\/strong>
\nI<\/span>n this wor<\/span>kshop there is a win-win – you learn more about the SDG goals and an SE method in one go! We will explore various dimensions of sustainability as captured in the UN Sustainable Development Goals. We will do this following the approach of A3 Architecture Overviews. A3 Architecture Overviews (A3AO) have been developed as a supportive tool to communicate a systems architecture and are being used in industry in various contexts. The A3AO is a visual, light-weight approach that uses diagrams to model and visualize a system with different views on an A3 paper. The A3AO then serves as a reference during and facilitator of design discussions in meeting settings.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Bio Steven Haveman<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/em><\/strong>
\nSteven Haveman <\/span>is a <\/span>lecturer<\/span> and<\/span> research<\/span>er<\/span> at <\/span>the<\/span> H<\/span>U<\/span> University of <\/span>Applied<\/span> Sciences <\/span>Utrecht. <\/span>In <\/span>his <\/span>career<\/span>, he <\/span>has <\/span>explored<\/span> Systems Engineering <\/span>from<\/span> various<\/span> perspectives<\/span>: research, <\/span>industry<\/span> and<\/span> education<\/span>. <\/span>In 2015, h<\/span>e <\/span>achieved<\/span> a PhD in Systems Engineering <\/span>from<\/span> the<\/span> University of Twente <\/span>focusing<\/span> on <\/span>the<\/span> use<\/span> of <\/span>mod<\/span>els<\/span> and<\/span> simulations<\/span> in <\/span>conceptual<\/span> systems design<\/span>. He has<\/span> researched<\/span> both<\/span> mechatronic<\/span> and<\/span> socio-technical<\/span> systems<\/span>. <\/span>Steven <\/span>has been <\/span>active<\/span> as Systems Engineer <\/span>and<\/span> System Architect in <\/span>the<\/span> development <\/span>of <\/span>autonomous<\/span> vehicles<\/span>, <\/span>both<\/span> in <\/span>logistics<\/span> and<\/span> mobility<\/span>. <\/span>Since<\/span> 2022, he is<\/span> employed<\/span> at <\/span>the<\/span> HU at<\/span> the<\/span> Master Next Level Engineering<\/span>, teaching <\/span>amongst<\/span> other<\/span> Systems Engineering,<\/span> and<\/span> in <\/span>the<\/span> research <\/span>group<\/span> Organisations<\/span> in Digital <\/span>Transitions<\/span>, <\/span>researching<\/span> local<\/span> energy <\/span>communities<\/span>.<\/span> In <\/span>all<\/span> his <\/span>endeavours<\/span>, he has <\/span>employed<\/span> A3 Architecture <\/span>Overviews<\/span> in different <\/span>fashion<\/span>s<\/span> and<\/span> he has a <\/span>strong<\/span> interest in <\/span>sustainability<\/span>.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span> <\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>
