Abstract<\/strong>
\nModels play an essential role in Systems Engineering. There are many ongoing research and tool development activities in Model Based Systems Engineering, but the role of models extends beyond this. The <\/span>key-note<\/span> will go into the Systems Engineering <\/span>state of the art<\/span>, and how SE can improve development of systems of various complexity. A particular subject is how models can support a Systems Engineer in their daily work.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Bio Maarten Bonnema<\/strong><\/em>
\nMaarten Bonnema is professor Systems Engineering and Multidisciplinary Design. In his career he has contributed to the academic and industrial systems engineering communities. Maarten started his career as a systems engineer at ASML. From 1999 he continued his career at the University of Twente, where he was promoted to professor. He is currently chairman of SEMD.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>
