Abstract
\n<\/span><\/span><\/strong>We Love Transport. With this slogan, ADSE focuses its knowledge and expertise on the means of transport of today and the future. We do this with a systems view, as real Systems Engineers. This way we know that everything that flies, sails, drives and tracks is part of a larger whole. Infrastructure and traffic management, for example, also play an important role in this. What if you are going to do major renovations to that System of Systems while ‘the shop is open’ and the performance of the transport system must be maintained? Innovations such as electric flying, autonomous driving and the introduction of a European train safety system (ERTMS) have an impact on all facets of the transport system. This requires a smart and integrated approach!<\/span><\/p>\n

We explore this challenge together with the participants in an interactive workshop. We will take you through issues that we are working on for our customers. What makes these issues so difficult? What does the available theory of Systems Engineering say about this? We then start working on a case. We challenge you to think along with us. How can we use (MB)SE in our approach? What can we learn from this unruly practice? What ideas can we generate together?<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Bio Jordy Houwen<\/em><\/strong>
\nJordy <\/span>Houwen<\/span> is a Systems Engineering Consultant <\/span>with<\/span> experience<\/span> in <\/span>the<\/span> rail, <\/span>maritime<\/span> and<\/span> aviation<\/span> sectors. He <\/span>advises<\/span> companies <\/span>such<\/span> as Damen <\/span>Naval<\/span>, NS, <\/span>ProRail<\/span>, KLM <\/span>Cityhopper<\/span> and<\/span> Transavia<\/span> on <\/span>the<\/span> complexity<\/span> of ‘<\/span>brownfield<\/span>‘ system development. <\/span>With<\/span> a background in <\/span>aviation<\/span> technology<\/span> and<\/span> organizational<\/span> science<\/span>, he <\/span>enjoys<\/span> working<\/span> at <\/span>the<\/span> interface <\/span>between<\/span> technology<\/span> and<\/span> organization<\/span> and<\/span> with<\/span> a focus on <\/span>implementing<\/span> tactical<\/span> changes <\/span>to<\/span> realize<\/span> improvements<\/span>.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

Bio Ilja <\/span>Achterberg<\/span><\/span>
\n<\/em><\/strong>Ilja <\/span><\/em>Achterberg<\/span> is a Senior Consultant in <\/span>the<\/span> field of Systems Engineering. <\/span>She<\/span> helps<\/span> customers<\/span> by<\/span> thinking <\/span>about<\/span> the<\/span> challenges<\/span> associated<\/span> with<\/span> complex <\/span>technical<\/span> projects<\/span>. <\/span>With<\/span> experience<\/span> in <\/span>various<\/span> sectors, a <\/span>sharp<\/span> analytical<\/span> insight<\/span> and<\/span> a focus on system <\/span>architecture<\/span>, <\/span>she<\/span> provides<\/span> a <\/span>structured<\/span> approach <\/span>with<\/span> an<\/span> eye<\/span> for<\/span> the<\/span> process<\/span>. <\/span>She<\/span> believes<\/span> it<\/span> is important <\/span>to<\/span> create<\/span> a <\/span>balance<\/span> between<\/span> attention <\/span>to<\/span> details <\/span>and<\/span> seeing<\/span> the<\/span> bigger<\/span><\/em> picture.<\/span><\/em>

In his work as a Senior Consultant in the rail and aviation sector, he advises companies such as NS, <\/span><\/span><\/span>ProRail<\/span>, KLM <\/span>Cityhopper<\/span> and Schiphol. <\/span><\/span>He combines a background in technology and business administration and focuses on the translation of complex analyzes into clear management language. <\/span><\/span><\/span>His passion is guiding and coaching teams and individual team members at clients and in his own consultancy organization.<\/span><\/span><\/span>
