Bio: Robert holds an M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from TU Darmstadt, Germany. His career has taken him from Systems Engineering consulting and software development in automated driving to founding his own Systems Engineering tool company. Combining hands-on engineering experience with a passion for better development methods and tools, he focuses on making complex systems easier to understand, develop, and manage.

Abstract.

This time, we’ll turn the perspective around. You’ll step into the shoes of the skeptical discipline engineer – the one who has seen Systems Engineering before and mostly remembers extra process, extra learning, and extra overhead.

By looking at SE through their eyes, we’ll explore how to introduce it differently: starting with their needs, their language, and the value they can see immediately. The goal is simple: turn SE from perceived overhead into something people genuinely want to use.
