Dr. Paulin Kantue is an aerospace and systems engineer, technical leader, and founder of MoloMolo Tech, with more than 18 years of experience across complex engineering environments in Africa and Europe.
His career spans flight control systems, aircraft development, systems engineering, verification, and engineering leadership. Through MoloMolo Tech, an aerospace engineering consultancy, he focuses on developing technical leadership and engineering capability through systems thinking, model-based systems engineering (MBSE), digital workflow transformation, and practical coaching. His work explores how organisations can move beyond isolated technical excellence to build engineering environments in which people, processes, models, evidence, and decision-making work together as a coherent system.

Abstract.

Modern flight control programmes generate more simulation and verification evidence than ever, yet engineering decisions can still be delayed by uncertainty over whether that evidence remains valid, traceable, reproducible, and representative of the current system configuration. This presentation introduces Hidden Verification Debt as the gradual erosion of engineering confidence caused by fragmented assumptions, configuration drift, disconnected evidence, and weak traceability across the development lifecycle.
It explores how verification debt creates not only engineering rework, but also decision latency: situations where evidence exists, yet teams are not sufficiently confident to act on it. A pragmatic MBSE-light approach is proposed to strengthen the engineering confidence chain without requiring large-scale MBSE transformation. Through practical capabilities such as assumption governance, configuration awareness, simulation repeatability, and evidence traceability, the presentation shows how organisations can make verification evidence more reusable, decision-ready, and ultimately better prepared for certification.
